“Our future depends on one single moment, of one impossible day.
The day I have been running from all my life.
The Day of the Doctor.”

He travels alone except for the human companions he befriends, briefly sharing his life with them and showing them the astonishing wonders of the universe. He is a protector of mankind, and his mission is to save the planet from frequent and varied alien attacks. Each week the Doctor and his companions face a new adventure, travelling in the unique and indestructible T.A.R.D.I.S, a time machine that is bigger on the inside than the outside. Every time they step out of the door, they find themselves in a different era, from the ancient past, to the unimagined future, and a different place, from Venice Italy to an alien planet. meeting extraordinary characters, whether petrifying monsters or historical characters like Queen Victoria and Vincent Van Gogh. The Doctor and his friends find themselves pitted against the deadliest foes in the universe – monsters, aliens, robots and human beings – anyone who seeks to cause chaos and destruction, but the Doctor always finds a way to outwit them.

Every story throws down a new menace and a new challenge to the courage and ingenuity of the team – and delivers an ingenious solution from the eccentric and brilliant Doctor.
